Baby Video Monitors
These monitors can be helpful when busy inside the house. If your baby is napping or playing around in his room, you can see and hear everything he does while in the room. Most of these devices have sound and screens. These can also help if the baby begins to cry suddenly, because you will hear it quickly and be able to tend to the baby. These allow you to constantly monitor your child even while doing laundry, cooking dinner, cleaning, talking on the phone, and any other activities you may be doing. While these monitors can be somewhat costly, you do not have to pay for a nanny to watch over your baby while you’re busy doing other things. This is just a one-time fee. This is also good if you’re a busy, single parent.
Summer Infant Video Monitors
There are several different types of baby monitors made by this company. There’s the Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor, which actually does not come with video. The monitor records the baby’s sounds of movement, crying, and any other sound the baby makes. There’s also the #02100A Color Video Monitor, which comes with sound. There’s a small camera equipped with a stand that goes in your baby’s room, and for you, there’s a device shaped like a walkie-talkie that comes also with a stand and a belt clip. This device has a small screen and is small and portable so you can see and hear your angel from anywhere in your home. There is also the Philips SCD-589 DECT Digital Baby Monitor, which controls the room temperature for the baby, and there’s a two-way intercom, so you can talk to, soothe, and comfort your child from anywhere in the house. This device will not interfere with other electronics or other monitors in your home. Perhaps the most creative device made by this company is the SVAT UC-1300 Spy Eye Hidden Teddy Bear Monitor. There’s a hidden camera inside a soft, plush teddy bear for your baby to sleep with. Or the bear can just hang around in the crib with the baby, giving you a better view of the baby, and allowing you to hear it better. It can also serve as a hidden surveillance for babysitters.
ICD Video Monitors
ICD Monitors can also be helpful, but they are expensive. These monitors will always keep track of baby’s breathing and heart rate. It also keeps track of the baby’s pulse. Some doctors may recommend these at birth. People normally don’t use them unless they are recommended by the doctor.
